Siemonsma scores first USRA Hobby Stock win at I-90 Speedway

HARTFORD, S.D.—Andrew Siemonsma owned the 18-car USRA Hobby Stock field Saturday night at I-90 Speedway. Siemonsma started second and led all 12 laps of the feature which ran free of cautions. It was Siemonsma's first career I-90 Speedway win.

Cole Gulbrandson was a distant second while Logan Fitzpatrick passed two cars to finish third. Points leader Dustin Gulbrandson was fifth. He holds a 58 point lead over Brian Hoing.

Miah Christensen picked up his third USRA B-Mod win at I-90 Speedway over just seven weeks of racing. Chris Moore led the first four laps before the race's first caution. Points leader Dennis Martin was stuck in the work area when the race went green but he caught a major break by way of another quick yellow. Martin was able to tag the rear of the field on the next restart.

Christensen got by Moore on the restart lap and led the rest of the way which included a green/white/checker finish after Bryan Park spun on the final lap. A number of drivers worked their way through the field including Christensen who started 10th.

Second place finisher Tim Dann started seventh and Martin came from the back of the pack all the way up to third. Martin was also able to gain four points on Tyler Tesch. He leads Tesch by 24 points atop the USRA B-Modified points.

Racing continues this Saturday, July 4, as part of a big night of events at I-90 Speedway. First, the Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 Sprint Cars make their return. In addition, all five of the track's Paramount Racing Series divisions are in action with double features for Sprint Cars. It's also Kid's Night. Kid's may take advantage of free race car rides before the first green flag. And the night will close with I-90 Speedway's annual fireworks display!
