WHEATLAND, Mo.--With Mother Nature once again attempting to sideline the racing action on a cool damp April evening, the skies cleared out just enough for a great night of racing. Kris Jackson and Jason Russell prevailed to score wins on the opening night of Budweiser Weekly Racing Series Action as 127 cars jammed the Lucas Oil Speedway pits.

Henley, Missouri's Justin Russell stalked the leaders from his fourth starting spot and went on to visit Andy's Frozen Custard Victory Lane. Browning, Missouri's Tommy Cordray earned the Keyser Manufacturing Hard Charger Award as he stormed from his 16th starting spot to second at the finish. Todd McCoin started 11th and finished third with Dustin Hodges and Payton Looney rounding out the top-5 in fourth and fifth respectively.

The Tri-Lakes USRA B-Mods were the featured class of the evening as a whopping 46 cars checked in the back gate. Dakota Foster and Richard Briggs led the field to the green flag but Fort Scott, Kansas' Andy Bryant quickly charged all the way from his 20th starting spot to grab the lead. Bryant looked to be on his way to a $500 payday but a flat right rear tire forced him pit side.

3-time and defending Lucas Oil Speedway Track Champion Kris Jackson had methodically worked his way from sixth to second and inherited the lead as Bryant exited the track. Jackson went on to score the win with Richland, Missouri's Tyler Brown crossing the Foley Equipment Finish Line in the second spot. Christopher Cain had a stellar run charging from 20th to third at the finish just ahead of Wheatland's Mike Streigel. Kaden Cornell started fifth and finished in fifth.

The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds were the final event of the evening as Jason Russell scored a dominating win from the front row in a caution free main event. Chanute, Kansas' John Allen looked to have a car capable of winning early in the main event but a broken left rear shock impaired the handling of his GRT as he held on for 2nd at the finish. Matt Dotson grabbed the final podium spot finishing in third. Tim Setzer charged from ninth to fourth at the finish while Lance Town slipped to fifth after starting on the pole.
