HARTFORD, S.D. -- For the second straight week at the I-90 Speedway, the driver who ended up in victory lane turned out not to be the winner of the USRA B-Mod feature.

First, two early red flags pared the field down considerably. Cory Gronewold came out of turn 4 too hard on the opening lap. He hit the outside wall solidy and rolled his car. Gronewold was okay. On the second lap Nick Barger, Brock Hess, Nick Wranek and Tim Dann got together with Dann's car ending up on its roof. All four drivers were okay but their cars were extensively damaged.

Once the race got going, Cameron Vande Weerd battled with Tyler Tesch for the lead. Vande Weerd ran the cushion while leading the first 11 laps. However, Dennis Martin was making up time running the bottom groove. Martin passed Vande Weerd on the 12th lap and went on to the checkered flag.

In tech, Martin was disqualified for a brake issue and the win went to Vande Weerd, his first of the year. Miah Christensen was scored in second with Cody Ahrendt third.

The USRA Hobby Stock feature was a nail-biter even though it was cut from 12 laps to nine due to the track imposed time limit. Travis Vanden Top started on the pole and then had Dustin Gulbrandson nipping at his heels the entire race.

Vanden Top ran a great race to beat Gulbrandson for his first win. Zach Olivier came from sixth to third after breaking from a close pack that included Mike Chaney, Jason Bradley and Matt Steuerwald.
