Keeter takes USRA Modified victory in Nevada season opener

NEVADA, Mo. -- Ten USRA Modifieds signed in Saturday for the 2014 season opening night at the Nevada Speedway.

The first of two heat  race wins was earned respectively to Jerry Morgan, but not without some pressure from Mitch Keeter and Scotty Bough.

The second heat race victory went to Danny Scrogham, who jumped out to an early lead after starting on the second row inside.

As the USRA Modifieds took to the track for their feature event, Keeter pressured Morgan and Scrogham for the top position early on in the feature event.

Keeter went on to score the victory in the caution-free feature, with polesitter Morgan finishing second and Bough rounding off the top three finish.

Nevada Speedway would like to remind everyone that weekly racing will continue this Saturday, April 19, with a full show. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and hot laps are at 7:30 with racing at 8 p.m.
