$18,000 up for grabs at RPM Speedway April 5


CRANDALL, Texas -- This Friday, April 5, at teh RPM Speedway is going to be a jam-packed night of racing.

Last Friday’s “Factory Stock Fracas” was postponed by rain until this Friday, now joining the $1,000-to-win USRA Modified feature event, which pushes the total purse for the night to $18,000.

The current weather forecast shows sunny and dry conditions this Friday, with temps in the low 70s.

The Factory Stock feature line-up is already set and will be the first event of the night. Then, the complete Friday night racing program will begin for the USRA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Limited Modifieds and Factory Stocks. Regular grandstand prices of $12 for adults and regularly priced pit passes of $30 (for all ages) are in effect.

The USRA Modifieds will compete in a 30-lap feature for $1,000 to win. There is no entry fee for this event. During the two scheduled $1,000-to-win USRA Modified nights at RPM, drivers will draw for heat race position and receive passing points to determine feature line-ups. There will not be a points average heat lineup on those two nights.

The USRA Modified feature race payback is as follows: $1000, 600, 400, 300, 250, 200, 180, 160, 140, 120, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100.

In the event that there are any non-qualifiers, each non-qualified driver will receive one free pit pass to the April 12 points event.

The pit gate opens at 5:30 p.m., grandstands open at 6 p.m., draw cut-off and hot laps is 7 p.m. and the first green flag unfurls at 8 p.m. sharp.
